The long-awaited hunting season is open. Cartridges were bought in stores, weapons were serviceable and serviced, a backpack was assembled. But there is one problem, because since last season you have not shot. The reasons are usually the same: there is no time, far to go to the shooting range or it is not at all in your village. It’s a familiar situation, right?
Taking into account the long break in training, it may turn out that you come to the forest and a beast comes out on you. The heart beats wildly, the hands tremble treacherously, the carbine walks like a walker. You take a shot and miss. The beast is leaving, the season is ruined, the mood is at rock bottom. But it was possible to prepare, and most importantly, for this you do not need to visit the landfill a hundred kilometers from home.
Need a modern assistant. It may turn out to be a laser dry fire app, because it allows you to train hunting skills, such as instantly throwing up weapons, aiming and moving the aiming point between targets. This training format has long been introduced into its everyday practice by IPSC shooters around the world.
Most shooting simulator models have “moving target” or “random target appearance” scenarios. This is a perfect imitation of hunting, where the beast appears unexpectedly and is in motion. The program records not only accuracy, but also the time of the first shot – a key characteristic for the hunter.
In one training session with the target shooting app, you can make a hundred “shots,” work out a dozen different situations and get a complete analysis of errors. You will see where your bullet is flying relative to the aiming point, and you will understand which way to correct.
Such a simulator is especially useful for hunters who change weapons or sights. It costs money and extra time to shoot a new rifle at the shooting range. But you can first understand where the average hit point lies on the laser dash, and it will not take you more than ten minutes.
Practicing hunters often joke: “It is better to miss the shooting range ten times than once in the forest.” There is a lot of truth in this joke. Invest an hour a week in dry shooting on the simulator and your hunting trips will become more successful. The beast will lie down from the first shot, because the hand and eye have already trained hundreds of times in the correct interaction.
